Betty.she surfaces without warning  emerging alongside morning  streaming though my dusty windows  where the sunlight cracks but then flows  in rivulets of fire  against my skin i find her  fingers clasped around my arm  beckoning my alarm  and instead of my reflection  i lose sense of all direction  and my image drips like wax  thick and teeming, a morass  collecting at my hips and my thighs  so grotesquely disfigured to my eyes  she douses me in a pool of hate  she wants to know what i ate  to arrive at this portrait of shame  because there must be something to b Betty.
